Numero Uno

Thanks to everyone who has been in touch to say they'd be willing to sacrifice a Saturday night to my latest whim and brave the unknown (and possibly the disgusting, burnt or socially awkward) in a room full of computer science students, BNP voters or even people who bought the X factor single. The first of these stranger soirees will take place on Saturday 13th of February at around 7.30pm. Dinner at mine?

So as of January 2010 I'm a decade older, but still no wiser or richer or thinner or better qualified or fitter. But that's all going to change this year, right? I'm going to make some meaningful, lifechanging goals and stick to them, right?

Well.. Almost right. This year I plan to host ten dinner parties for strangers. Simple!

Here are the rules:
-A stranger must be someone I have met no more than once previously.
-There may be no more than one non-stranger present at each event (probably, by virtue of the fact that he shares my house and kitchen, my long suffering husband).
-There must be at least three strangers present at each dinner party.
-Each event must be faithfully recorded here for all to see.
